Scooter accident wipes out luxury Asian tour

A Cavalry Travel Insurance client was looking forward to a luxury tour of Thailand and Myanmar, exploring temples and undiscovered rural villages, when she had a scooter-riding accident three months prior to the trip departure date. The Cavalry client sustained several fractures in her foot, underwent surgery, and her doctor stated she could not travel.

As a result, a trip cancellation claim was filed with Cavalry Travel Insurance for the non-refundable portion of the deposit of $7,895, mostly for lodging and other accommodations. The client’s Cavalry comprehensive travel insurance policy reimbursed her for the full claimed amount.

“Initially I thought there was going to be a ton of paperwork involved. In the end, it was painless. It wasn’t like I had to chase down a lot of documentation.”

“I was really impressed with the process,” she said.
